Frequently asked questions

Everything about compatibility, the trial, licensing and activation.

Product & compatibility

Yes. TelePrompter Pro asks Windows to exclude its window from the screen-capture pipeline (the SetWindowDisplayAffinity capability). It works with OBS Display, Window and Game Capture, Windows Game Bar, Camtasia, Loom, and most tools that use standard Windows capture. The window is excluded at the system level - not merely hidden - so it cannot be captured even on the same screen you record.

Windows 10 version 2004 (build 19041, May 2020) or later, and all versions of Windows 11. On older Windows 10 builds the teleprompter still works, but the capture-invisibility falls back to an older mode that covers most - not all - tools.

In most cases, yes - the exclusion applies to any app using standard Windows screen capture, including Zoom screen share, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and Loom. We recommend a quick test with your specific setup before an important recording.

No. The installer is self-contained and bundles everything it needs. Install and run - no separate runtime, no administrator rights required for a per-user install.

Trial, licensing & payment

Three days with the full OBS-invisibility working, so you can experience the core value. Some extras (mirror mode, custom fonts/colours, unlimited script length) are reserved for Pro during the trial.

The app keeps running as a teleprompter, but the screen-capture invisibility turns off until you purchase. Buying a license and activating it restores invisibility and unlocks every feature.

No. It’s a one-time purchase. No recurring charges and no account required to use the software after activation.

After purchase you receive a license key by email. In the app, open Upgrade, choose “I already have a license key,” paste it, and click Activate. It is verified offline and your license is then permanent on that PC.

Yes - there is a 30-day money-back guarantee. See our Refund Policy or email [email protected] with your order number.

The invisibility works at the Windows level, not the OBS level, so OBS updates cannot override it as long as OBS uses standard Windows capture. If anything ever changes, we ship a free update.
